Hi! I am Shannon! a birth and postpartum doula living in the Asheville NC area. I am also an herbalist and love to incorporate herbs into my prenatal, birth and postpartum care. I love to share evidenced based information with my clients and up to date resources - just like the ones in this blog post! As a pregnant person, gathering your team and finding your birth community can feel very intimidating and confusing - I love to try and make it easier for my clients to find trusted practitioners and birth support in the Asheville area. As we all know, googling “prenatal practitioners near me” does not always provide us with assurance that we have found the right fit. This resource list has been compiled by my doula mentor and me - it has over 10 years of informed experience behind it and I trust each and every practitioner on this list to provide top notch care! I like to compare this resource list to a friend sending another friend to a practitioner because they had an amazing experience, that is how personal and intimate this list feels.
